eyeo is seeking an experienced Photonics Expert to join our innovative team. As a Photonics Expert, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our novel color splitters. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping design concepts and exploring future photonic technologies to strengthen our imaging technology portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up with groundbreaking technology poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory.

Education:

Master’s degree in Photonics, Optical Engineering, Physics or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead conceptualization and design of advanced photonic devices, with a focus on splitting visible light into colors.
Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to integrate photonic solutions into our products.
Conduct research and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in photonics and imaging.
Analyze measured data, compare with simulations, and prepare reports.
Support internal departments with photonic related queries/requests.
Identification and evaluation of new ideas to bring this to protected intellectual property.
Present findings and progress to stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning.

Skills:

Proven experience in photonic design and development.
Proficient in optical design and simulation tools, including Lumerical and Zemax
Proven programming skills (python) are essential
Strong understanding of photonic materials, devices, and systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex technical information clearly.
